Any Salt-N-Pepa video, especially "Shake Your Thang". The dance moves in that video were too hype.
EU's doing the butt. OMG http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif I loved that one!!!! "I'm Bad" and "I Need Love" were my two most favorite L.L. videos. A host of other artists like Erick B. and Rhakem(sp?), Big Daddy Kane, and EPMD were all on a special video tape marked Video Soul and Rap City (before it had a basement). |

I liked the KRS One videos. Remember Ms. Melody? Who was it that used to do the one that went "Don't push me, 'cause I'm close to the edge; I'm tryin' not to loose my head... It's like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under..." ? |
Grand Master Flash...that's the answer...

Favorite video of all time is Janet Jackson's "The Pleasure Principal."
Favorite Hip Hop video is "Buddy" with the Jungle Bros., De la Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, and Monie Love. And how could I forget "Shake Your Thang" by Salt N Pepa. I was a freshman in college at a PWI univ, and all of the black girls on the floor would crowd around one tv set and dance whenever it came on. [This message has been edited by Miss. I don't feel you on the Debbie Gibson, BUT I definitely relate to the Material Girl, et al.!
I can't remember who sang the song but it started off 'Little ditty 'bout Jack and Diane, two American kids growing up in the heartland...' I STILL rock to that song when it comes on! Quote:

"Don't push me cause I'm close to the edge. I'm trying not to lose my head.
Uh-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha. It's like a jungle sometimes, It makes me wonder why they wanna take us under. Uh-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha." Ya'll know they were too wrong for making this video. The lead singer with the braids looked like a royal, newborn FOOL!
