Like others have said, there is a difference between being nice and being a push-over. As long as you're not being a push over, I'd say continue being the nice guy. There are girls out there who do prefer the nice guy...I know. I am one. I would take the nice guy over the dick in a heartbeat!

Ok, I think I've told enough people about my plight that I can end the requests to hear it lol. BUt thanks to all that are actually "concerned".
|
Maybe I'm odd, but I've never preferred the "a-hole" over the "nice guy"....I become friends with both types, and the only guy that I've been interested up until this point was the nicest guy in the world....very gentleman like and at times it seemed like he went over the top....of course, he now is engaged to a wonderful woman who'll make him very happy, and him and I are still the best of friends!

I perceive nice guys as just that, really really sweet guys who I adore-- and not just in the friend sense. My sister was hooking up with this fraternity man, and when I met him I was like awww you're so nice!!! He was like yeah, I get that a lot, but some people think I'm too nice so it may be a bad thing. I was like no way, we need more nice men in this world! So being nice doesn't equal just mere friendship... and I've never viewed it as a weakness.
