Being from a North Carolina school, and heavily involved with politics on the UNCC campus, Edwards is losing appeal very quickly. There are even bumper stickers out saying "I'm from North Carolina and I don't like John Edwards." In my opinion, the nomination will go to Kerry or Dean...I'm not sure what Clark will end up doing. Also, as much crap as I probably get for this, Clinton will not run in 2004 but you will probably see her in 2008. Love her or hate her, she's going to be around in politics for awhile.

Hilary would be a mistake. If he really hopes to be the president for the folks with the confederate flags and gun racks, he'd better choose someone southern, moderate, and not remotely associated with the Clinton administration.
|
I hope it will be a Dean Clark ticket because that sounds like a old rock and roll band or the guy who's in charge of a college.

Dean's running mate will not be one of the current candidates. When is the last time a Presidential candidate chose a running mate that he defeated in the primary? Too much blood is shed in the primary and it causes bad feelings.

How sad is this! When Hillary was mentioned, I immediately thought of Hilary! :o

And yes, I do have his #! :) Also, the past 4 Democratic Presidents were from the South... Right? |

unless the "Commonwealth" of Massachusettes has recently migrated south of the Mason-Dixon Line, i believe you are mistaken. Or, are you not considering JFK as a Democrat president? Please elaborate to add some sense of meaning to your post. Kitso KS 361 |

Just admit you made a mistake, it's much easier. Besides, if you go one Democrat past Kennedy, you come to Truman, who was from Missouri, also not a southern state. FDR, before him, was another Democrat, albeit from New York. In order to find the 4 last Southern Democrat Presidents, you have to include Clinton, Carter, LBJ, JFK and then back to Woodrow Wilson. Although Wilson ran for governor of New Jersey, he was born in Virginia and was by that fact, "technically" a southerner. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!! I MADE A MISTAKE!!!!
I said '4' instead of '3'. I'm sorry, I will never EVER make that mistake again. I am wrong and I can never compare to the political intelligence of others here on GC. Please let me grovel at your feet and beg for mercy, for I am just a dumb 21 year old who made a mistake. I MADE A MISTAKE!!!! I hope that makes some people feel better ;) P.S, it took me 30 minutes because I took out all the 'not-so-nice' things I was going to say. But, I decided to be a civilized, mature person about it. I guess being civilized and mature doesn't work with some people. Thanks, and have a WONDERFUL Holiday Season to all!! |
