I saw Icon last night and here are my opinions. Overall I thought the show was very good. I have newfound respect and admiration for 'NSYNC because their video rendition of "That's the way love goes" was soooo smooth! The dance routine by Usher, Pink and Mya was da Bomb - my altime favorite song of Janet's has got to be "The Pleasure Principle" and I can watch that video 1,000 times and not get tired of it http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Destiny's Child sang very well although Beyonce did not have to be so dramatic with her singing. Macy Gray - I believe her voice is an acquired taste for the eardrums. What the hell was Buck Cherry doing to "Nasty" http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif Jamie Foxx, Bill Bellamy and DL Hughley were funny in doing their spoofs. For those who saw Janet perform, did anyone notice that the dancers were wearing outfits that were featured in her previous videos? I thought the concept was pretty cool!!! I did realize that. My boyfriend and I were trying to figure out which video outfits were represented. I saw Scream, Escapade, If, Rhythm Nation, the video with Busta Rhymes, and that video where she's jumping all over the country (I think it's called Runaway). But that's all I saw.

Okay, I am a def. Janet, hmm, not hater, but def. non-liker (her voice is as light as cotton candy, and yall know it! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif)...but I thought the dance with the different outfits worn by the back-up dancers was cool! I guess I'm the only one who liked the band doing "Nasty"...that was the @*&% to me!!! Those were the only parts I saw, but even mean-old-Janet-critic me thought those parts were tight.

And DST Love, I'm witchu, babe. I do not get why people think Beyonce and her chambermaids (no, they don't even get to be handmaidens in Queen B.'s kingdom http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif) are the shiznit...I truly don't...but I did think that remix of their first song was tight, but I'm giving most of that credit to Wyclef and whichever producer propped them up.

Like someone said before...I'm not hating, just concerned because I luvs me some Janet. I think she looks awesome but thought her face just looked a little "pinched". I feelin the lyrics to their new song "Survivor". Whether or not you're a Destiny's Child fan the song is pretty inspirational and aside from the speaking of their trial and tribulations with the group the lyrics can be applied to anyone who has ever faced adverse situations in their life and have perservered (sp).
