I'm 100% WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Prodestant) and my husband's 100% Zapoteca Mexican. Our baby has adorable light-olive colored skin, big brown eyes and dark hair. I don't think I've had anyone ever make any comments except how cute we are as a family (besides his one cousin who "doesn't believe in IR" - actually I think he believes all the steriotypes about American [black OR white] women and THAT'S his problem).

We do have some cutural problems occasionaly (my best friend is a male - and that's a no-no in tradtional Mexican culture). Actually, as I think about it, just about all of the differences stem from Mexico being more culturally tradtional then the US. I can't think of anything that he does that I would consiter culturally wrong here.

I never dated IR and never will, but my mother dates IR. She's black and he is white. He is really good to her and my brother. He has stepped up in ways that no other black man has. I commend him for everything he has done for them. The only problem that they have is his mother. His brother and sister loves her to death (my mom).
