Yah, I'm at a total loss as to what to get FI's parents. They have *EVERYTHING* and they just got their first grandbaby and they're getting a pool for the summer. Anything I do is going to look pathetic.

One year I gave his mom a framed picture of him - she loved it. Even though we've been together nearly 6.5 years and are getting married in the spring, I still feel weird giving her a picture of the two of us.

Cash -- I tried the swedish stuff this weekend (my friend poured some in some left over cranberry sauce at a dinner party). Its okay but definitely not something you could drink straight or only with tonic. I like Danzka for lots of reasons. First of all, its a decent vodka without being too expensive. So I can buy it and not feel guilty about mixing it into cocktails, which isn't true for the higher end stuff. And it tastes good with its on the rocks or with soda water. I'm especially fond of the grapefruit flavor that have. Also -- and naturally this is lower on the list -- I like the bottle it comes in. Its a brushed aluminum bottle which has been awesome for tailgating.

Also, thanks to everyone who gave me advice on getting my boyfriend's watch for Christmas! I picked out a really nice looking Kenneth Cole watch that you can check out here. I can't wait to give it to him!

Grapefruit vodka

Hey Jagger---glad you finally found a present for your boyfriend. Watches are always a good idea. I am thinking about splurging and getting by boyfriend a digital camera. But the budget is tight....!
You are so right about mixed vodka drinks. I have a hard time mixing the good stuff too. As a recent college grad, I want to be able to find a favorite vodka that I can drink in a real martini, but will not blow my budget when I make them at home- and for parties. That Danzka vodka sounds like a good idea. I saw it at a holiday party I went to this past weekend. I tried the currant flavor, and I really liked it! and It looked really cool on a red table cloth for the holidays.

That is a good suggestion. My BF got these for my parents last year and they loved them! He thinks I should get them for his folks this year, but that seems so unoriginal to me. So...I'm back to the drawing board.
