You have a point there, regarding R Kelly. I was sickened that he was nominated for an American Music Award. It was a slap in the face for child molestation victims everywhere.

What's worse is that Americans continue to give Kelly their vote of confidence by continuing to buy his music. They're directly supporting his lifestyle by giving him their money.

careful there kt,

some of the more vocal members of GC will fly in here saying it's not fair to "CENSOR" R. Kelly.

Kitso
KS 361 times the rest of us know that there's a difference between a boycott(at least in this case, a boycott on buying music) and censoring

Sistermadly 11-19-2003 04:04 PM

Too true, ktsnake.

I can't imagine anything worse. There was even a NYTimes article on this. It wasn't even that critical of this guy. This isn't like Michael Jackson. It's been confirmed. He has videos. He married Aaliyah when she barely had a figure.

If they find evidence on Michael then I'll feel bad. But until then I'll support him.

--And don't people see that R Kelly's songs probably are referring to little girls?

texas*princess 11-19-2003 04:14 PM

Kinda gross knowing Bump n' Grind was written for a 13-year-old. http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/puke.gif

BWAHAHAHAH @ 33girl.... :D

The R Kelly lowdown:

He has been under investigation for a while.

First off, he married Aaliyah back in the day. It was only for like a few days, or a week, or something but at that point she was like 14.

Then there is a video that has surfaced of him having sex with a 13 year old girl. It is kinky and disgusting from what I understand. There have been other accusations as well.

He's nasty.

Absence of any evidence so far as I know

Regarding the early 1990s unfortunate allegations, everyone should read this GQ magazine article - from some years ago. Well written from a prestigious magazine:
http://bluemasklover.i8.com/Michael/GQarticle.html

(same article also on other sites just search for +"michael jackson" +GQ in Yahoo to find if that link causes problems).

I currently believe Michael is eccentric, possesses star quality, is the product of an upbringing difficult for any child and, is NOT a child molester.
