well I know if you were a Phi Sig it would go something like this... while you are at the Community College you could take Limited Status and then once you get to the University with another Chapter be welcomed into the chapter.. (that is Phi Sig's transfer policy, all sisters are welcomed in the spirit of once a Phi Sigma Sigma always a Phi Sigma Sigma, well after finding out if you are in good standing) DG may have different rules but I'm assuming you'd either take some kind of status while at JC and then do whatever you need to do to transfer chapters... (which definitely NOT include rushing again) contact your Pres. or national or whoever is in charge of giving status and find out what you need to do, but it shouldn't be a big deal I think you'll be able to be a DG again. :D it's probalby just a matter if getting the right information and doing any necessary paper work and all that good stuff. GOOD LUCK

I had similar questions last year when I was going through the process of transfering to Miami of Ohio (pre-tuition hike). For my sorority, it depends on how many years I was active at my initiating chapter. For example, I still have one full year left to be active since I left my school after I had already given two years of membership. I am alumnae now, but if I so chose to go to a school that had my organization (like Miami) I could return to active staus for one year if I chose and if their chapter had room to affiliate me. If your sorority is like mine and you haven't used all your years, you should be fine. I don't think it matters if you go to a community college in between.
