I concur with what's been said above. It all depends on the presentation. I personally will not wear them, because I am not shaped right for them. I can't stand it when girls wear them just because they are the style-but have their baby-fat bellies or love handles hanging out of them. if you have a belly you have no business wearing them.... Sometimes I wonder if people have lost their mirrors....

I have a few pairs of low waisted pants since that is all that I can find in the stores nowadays. I show no crack, so there is no harm done. :p

The worst of all is seeing a 13 or 14 year old girl with low waisted jeans on, showing her thong. Yuck! It's all the rage with the mallrat crowd right now.

it is much sexier when you think you are about to see something. i love low waisted pants. i have them in jeans and khakis. my mom HATES them. i think it is a mildstone for me, cause i used to think my body was ugly. actually, my pants aren't labeled 'low waisted'. they just sit really low on my body. i dont like to show my underwear, but it does accidentally play peek a boo.

every girl should not wear low riders. at school, i see a lot of girls wearing them that are (quite frankly) not built for them. i do not want to see rolls. i think that is more skanky then seeing underwear.

they're OK if thongs, butt cracks and pubic regions are tucked away. I agree that if you don't have the bod for them you shouldn't wear them - however, it's really hard sometimes to find anything but low-riders if you want other features like flared legs (I'm really ready for those to be over, but that's another subject). If you have to buy them and you know your gut is going to hang over them, for the love of all things holy cover it up.

You'll be called Steve Urkel if you don't wear low rise jeans where I'm from. Even my mom wears them. :D

Like someone said, they are fine as long as no crack or draws* are showing.



*draws are slang for undies, surprisingly some don't know that.

Let me clarify:

None of us wear jeans at the natural waist (for those of us who wear jeans regularly, who are few and far between). But hip huggers??? No way. I can't imagine someone wearing those. wow.

Thongs sticking out the back with little phrases for me to read when i'm walkin behind you or sitting behind you in class are a bonus. :p

Course, that's if i'm in those places. I don't want to see the girls at the school i'm teaching at wearing them. Fortunately the fashion on the rez is more hip-hop style with the baggy pants, big hoodies, etc.
