Aah, the GP also got dumped by an email. In all fairness to him, he went to an all-boys school and I was his first girlfriend, so he didn't know any better.

thats the best way to do it.

i like emails cuz you can spent like 2 minutes writing it out, instead of having to explain to someone for an hour why you dont want to be with them anymore.

Thats no excuse! It's a matter of respect, especially if you were with them for a year and a half. Email and AIM breakups are totally not cool and inexcusable and ONLY makes the situation worse.

Text message?? Ok that's got to be one of the worst ways to break up with anyone..goodness sakes. And I thought I had it bad when one of mine broke up with me through an internet chat medium.

I haven't had any instances where an ex would go the places I used to frequent or at least none that I would have any knowledge of. But I do agree with that quote from Sex and the City. There are still a few places where I cannot go to yet because of all the emotional ties that exist.
