I've had a few majors in my day...
Freshman year I started out as mechanical engineering and political science, wanting to be a patent lawyer. I started dating GPBoy (a CS/Business major) and decided that SE would be better than ME because I didn't have to take as much physics. So for a while I was SE and PoliSci, but then I decided I didn't want to take any more math so I was CS and Poli Sci. You could get a Business degree with 3 more classes and an Econ degree wtih 3 more, so then I was CS/PS/Business/Econ for the rest of my stint at Platteville. Now I'm an Economics and PoliSci major at another school. ;) |
I never changed mine, though I wanted to halfway through my senior year... but I stuck with it just so I could graduate in 4... I wanted my major since I was in junior high, and now I don't want it at all.

Started in Computer Science; after 2 semesters I changed to Information Systems.
Thankfully, ALL of the freshman year CS classes are the same as IS - so I didn't lose any classes. I was lucky. I had enough advance credit to graduate in 4 years - taking 12 hour semesters for the last 3 semesters :P |
I came to my school as a pre-journalism major. That lasted for freshman year. Fall of my sophomore year I decided I wanted to be a nursing major. Then finally at the end of sophomore year I changed it to psychology and I am sticking with it. I am almost 100% sure of what I am going to do after I graduate and what I want to do with it when I'm older. (Be a clinical psychologist) I will be here for only 4 1/2 years thankfully! I thought it was going to be 5 but I got lucky...kinda. :) When I graduate I will also have a minor in sociology which is random and Italian...which is also pretty random. :D

Just once. I did the typical thing where I started off as Bio (pre-pharmacy) then figured it totally wasn't for me and made the 180 degree turn toward Anthropology. Then I was forced to choose a minor so it turned out be Asian-Pacific Studies.

I went into college a polisci major, decided before I got there to change to anthropology. Then after a semester of anthropology classes I decided that I wanted to do business but was considering doing a double major. I still (one and a half years later) am business but as I recently realized I have no idea what I am going to do with my life that may change soon.
