Well that is a problem in itself, if they were mentioning that it happened yesterday, b/c the accident happened 2 days ago...

Am I the only person that thinks Fox's news is totally sensationalized???

CNN has definitely made it's share of mistakes this year. From what I've heard, the whole glorified internship thing is absolutely correct.

But it was Fox that ran to the gates of the arrival airports on 9/11 and told the families their relatives had been killed. That kind of scandalous, in your face attitude is sometimes associated with the media but Fox is the worst.

So which is worse- a news association with a bunch of inexperienced people or a news association deliberately looking for the sleaziest coverage available?

The style and graphics remind me of Inside Edition or A Current Affair. And fair and balanced-IMHO, that's a load.

the graphics used by Fox has no influence or outcome over what they report. you may think it LOOKS like Inside Edition but the content of the programing is much different.

as for fair and balanced, why do you think that is a "load?" i think all the news they report is balanced, its not like they only give updates on Republican presidiential candidates.

Sleazy coverage? That is the american public my friend, not fox news. They only report what the people do. That is the exact point. They don't add a bunch of false, elitist info to their reporting. They report it straight up. And w/ the 911 reporting... I fail to see your point. Would you like them to hold off telling the nation that two of the most important buildings and over 3000 people had been destroyed? You think we should edit the fact that our nation was under attack? Are you nuts? Maybe next time they will keep the story on the back burner until we identify the 3000 bodies. Give me a break. It wasn't their place to withhold the info, and they knew it. They clearly, CLEARLY, offer the most un-baised reporting of the cable news channels. Just because they are not liberal, doesn't mean they are conservative... keep that in mind.

"Sensationalized" is a great argument... If you don't want to see news, turn off the channel. They are 24 hour news station, so they report everything that happens around the world.

You don't like the channel, turn the station, they don't need your help, they are mopping up the remains of their competition...

And, I've met their president who is a fellow Ohio University Graduate who just happened to make a fortune as a Republican strategist and Richard Nixon's media advisor during his campaigns.

Frankly, Fox does lean FAR to the right and is just "ballanced" enough to keep itself out of legal trouble.

A lot of what "ballanced" means depends on what you want to hear and how you interpret it.

Now, if they can convince the audience that their "journalism" is ballanced, more power to them.

But, the fact is, they have an agenda and are masterful at pulling it off.

Um, wow....does someone in your family work for them b/c I think you're taking this a lil too personally....

A) There is a difference between reporting what happens and creating drama. There was no reason to run up to the families at the gate and go "They all died!!!!" with a camera in those people's faces- don't act like it was their duty, the people would have found out in 10 seconds anyway. Have some compassion- when it comes to someone dying there are better ways to handle breaking the news, and it was NOT the job of some camera whore at FOX to do it.

2) I'm fully aware that the media likes scandalous stories. I'm a journalism major (by no means making me an expert) and many classes point out the fact that they only report what the American people eat up. That being said, its no excuse for crappy journalism. I'm sorry but too many times FOX has reported things that were not even close to true...another 9/11 example- CNN broadcast that there might have been up to 4 other planes; FOX made a map showing 4 other crashes that never happened.

C) Please don't concern yourself with my TV viewing habits- you don't have to worry, the only time its on my TV is when I'm doing a report on shitty news coverage. I don't worry about what other ppl do- if an entire nation wants to watch (which it seems that way) more power to them...I simply asked if anyone else found them sleazier than the other news orgs. Again as to why you're getting so defensive, I have no idea.... but it's cool....
