I have them... you jerks...
J/K
I have suffered many an hour in the dental chair on account of cavities. I take great care of my chomper too... I brush very well, 2 or 3 times a day, floss, and everything??? I asked my dentist if I should stop drinking soda, etc. He told me that those foods cause less of a problem than foods that stick to your teeth, like bread/pretzles. food for thought. |
Coke is very bad for your teeth.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist! But luckily, I have had no cavities either. However, I did have braces for 2 years or so (was borderline, didn't really need them, but I could have used the extra help so got them), and I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed a few summers ago... they never bothered me though, I only found out they should be removed because the dentist saw them.

I had my first cavity at 21.. two more at age 22. None before that and none since! I attribute it to reaching the legal drinking age...

I have no cavities! I did have to wear braces though. Good thing too cause I got hit in the bottom jaw with a softball once. All my bottom teeth moved over but with the braces they moved back in two days. I also have only one wisdom tooth that doesn't look like it will ever come in. (Knocks on wood.)

I have 2 fillings but they came before my sealants were put on my teeth. The 2 fillings I have though are porcelain. The silver (a.) doesn't stay in my mouth and (b.) I hate the way the silver looks. I have braces. I have had mouth surgery to remove the freenum from under my tongue.
The freakish thing about my mouth is that I had 6 wisdom teeth. Two grew in that were perfectly healthy. The other 4 are still embedded in my gums and I have to have them extracted soon. The two that grew into my mouth normally had to be pulled so I could have the braces put on my teeth. |
I never have had a cavity! But then again - I haven't got to the dentist since age 19 (going on 4 years now) because I'm a dirt poor students and my parents won't pay for it :(

Geez
I have spent about 5 hours in the Dentist chair for fillings and 2 Root canals this week alone.
I have an assload of dental work left oo. My dental benefits are maxed out this year. They reset in January tho and I should be able to get a big chunk of the work I need done then. I have never had dental insurance till now and So I have a lot of work to be done. I have always brushed my ass off and thought I had cavities becasue I am a bad person. lol. Turns out its becasue of my asthma. Those inhalers (I have been using since 1986) are really bad for your teeth. Who knew? I nam just glad to be getting it all redone. |
no cavities but other dental work is another story. i did have braces for a year. on a second attempt, i got all of my wisdom teeth pulled when i just turned 20. i say second attempt cause when i was 16, i was scared of going under- at the very last minute (i was in the dentist chair) i screamed bloody murder and pushed the dentist away from me. my mom was pissed!! i was grounded for the weekend for humiliating her.
getting my teeth pulled was funny. i couldnt not feel a thing on my swollen, medicated mouth. it is not cool to be high for a day. that is the only time you'll see me on drugs. |
I never had a cavity until I was bearly 19. I was devastated when the dentist told me that I had one small cavity. When I got home, I was crying! A perfect record blemished! Oh well, I hadn't had another one since!

I only have one filling, tiny cavity when I was 17. I am very anal about my teeth. I brush minimum 5 times a day--and I am a FREAK about the whiteness of my teeth. Everytime I go to the dentist I ask about whitening-- he laughs and tells me to get over it, my teeth are already as white as they can be. -wendi |
Baby teeth were sealed (I can't remember it, but my dental records say it loud and clear). I have one cavity that is filled in with a composite instead of metal. No braces, either. My sister is the same way. My wisdom teeth came in perfectly.
I know I'm extremely lucky to come from a family that has impeccable dental health. My father is the type to brush his teeth after a dental cleaning--"'cause they just don't do it good enough." |
