That is the cutest thing I have ever heard!!

Is anyone else's ovaries hurting after reading those last two posts?

I've learned that even a hardcore GDI can be made to realize how important Alpha Delta Pi is to his loved one. (mr. honeychile had my engagement ring designed with <> diamonds <> on it, with his grandmother's diamonds in the <> other ones!)

YES!!! :D

I've also learned that it doesn't matter how long it's been since you've talked to a sister, the minute you hear their voice on the phone or received their letter/e-mail/instant message, it's like you just got back home from hanging out with them.

I learned what I want from other friends and my biological, twin sister. My sisters set the standards for everyone else to live up too!!

I learned that I may not have ended up where I thought I would, but I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

I learned that when you can't talk to a sister (Gamma Chi), the reunion is oh so sweet!
I learned that when you are at your lowest, a sister will pick you up.
I learned that it's never too late, and you are never too old to be a member of Alpha Delta Pi.
I learned that no matter how far away you think you are from your sisters, there is always one close by. (even if it's through the internet)

Bumping.

This is just such a beautiful thread to read prior to recruitment starting.

I'm actually going to use a few of these "sayings" when I mail stuff out in support of our chapters during recruitment. :)

-I've learned that the more times you go through Jewel Degree, the better it gets!

-I've learned that there's nothing like a sister who works at Gymboree and stocks up on all the Lion Clothing!

-I've learned that, no matter which style of ADPi pin is your favorite, we all love the Black Diamond!

-I've learned that you can feel a strong sisterhood with women you've never even met.

-I've learned that, no matter how many wonderful sisters we have, Recruitment proves that there are many more women who are deserving!

-I've learned cheesecake isn't the only thing that can be served at Pref!

and my last for now:

-I've learned that ADPi babies always seem to be the cutest & most lovable!!

I learned

I have learned that when life gets you down a sister will always be at your side to help you turn it around.

I love this thread! Thanks for bumping it. Trust me, I'm going to share these thoughts with my actives.

How about some things I've learned as an Pi member and an Advisor?

- I've learned the joy of watching young immature new members grow into confident leaders and strong women. I get a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I helped a little bit in that process.

- I've learned that I have sisters across the entire country that will help you out whenever you need something, even if you've never met in person before.

- I've learned that even though I grew up in Illinois I'm considered a Yankee. :D

- I've learned there are 1,000's of other Pi members that are just as dedicated to the continued growth and success of this organization. More importantly dedicated to the ideals we all believe in and were founded on.

-I've learned that the difference between having an ADPi House, Suite, and Chapter Room is so minor when compared to the Sisterhood they contain!

-I've learned that, even though you see Alumnae Sisters once or twice a year, you're still excited when you have a lunch date with them!

-I've learned that, when you tell sisters that the Violet Scented lotion, dish soap and hand soap are on sale at Williams-Sonoma, you best get there first, or there won't be any left!

-I've learned that I can sweat out a sister's delivery date, even though we've never formally met!

-And, that I can at least pray for each sister who announces her engagement or pregnancy!

-I've learned that the love of one's puppy http://www.orangepopdesign.com/peppe...c-1/bf_new.gif can bring sisters together unexpectedly!

WLFEO 07-30-2006 02:23 PM

I've learned that when your 5 year old daughter puts on her own dance show in your garage, you can count on ADPi sisters to show up as the audience!

ADPi Conniebama 08-13-2006 02:04 PM

I have learned that every year - with every recruitment - I see the faces of the young sisters that will have the potential to learn the same things that I have learned.

I have learned that recruitment jitters don't go away (if you become an advisor)

I have learned that recruitment jitters keep you young.

I have learned that even if you disagree with a sister (politically, philisophically, religiously) - from 1000 miles away that you have never met - you still know that she is your sister and if you met her you would have a bond that both of you would share.

I have learned that it is cool to say Michelle Pfieffer(sp) is my sister.:p

Me too!!

I've learned the bonds of true frienship.
I've learned that I can rely on my GC sisters just like my chapter and alumna sisters!
