I have been Divorced and married once that is enough!

My Parents were married for a lot of years! Give them Credit, the old style. Times were tough and Dad Could be abusive, but They Loved each other!:) Tough times and easy, not to many easys! Mom has been dead for 4 years and is tuff still on him!

So it happens, life goes on! People live die. live with each other and fall apart and goe separate ways. Hardest is on the Kids Who Play them like a Violin!

A lot depends on the Age Of the Kids!

If someone tried marrying my mom, I would kick their ass. My parents are happily married and one time some lady asked if were newlyweds. :confused: If a girl tried to get with my dad, I'd have sex with her first. Just to have the one up on him. Plus, he shouldn't be cheating on mom.

I lost my dad last year. My mother is fairly young and I know one day she'll be with someone else....THAT has me a little weirded out...I don't know how I'd handle that...

Ok. I've been through all of this. To make a long story short my dad is on his third marriage and my mom has never been remarried. They got divorced when I was 12 and I'm turning 24 in less than a month. We all get along (there's me and my little brother who is 21 from my mom and dad's marriage, there's my step mom's two boys that are in high school - one's a senior, the other a freshman - and then there's my older brother who is 33 from my dad's 1st marriage). My mom and dad fought a lot when I was younger so it was a GOOD thing that they got divorced. I always new my dad would remarry - he's just that type - and I'm glad he's married the woman he did. I LOVE my step mom! She's an awesome person and GREAT mother. The cool thing is she's 14 years younger than my dad (he turns 60 this year). Everyone gets along with everyone - including my mom. My mom has even stayed at my dad's house during the holiday's so we can all be together which is really nice. You just have to remember that your parents just want to be happy. Now I KNOW they haven't always liked who you've dated, but you dated them anyway right? Well the same goes for them. You just have to take what's happened and know that they love you, they just want happiness for themselves too. I hope this helps. If there's anything else I can help you with, just let me know. :)

as for parents remarrying.. my parents just recently seperated after 31 years of marriage..i don't know if either would remarry but they are starting to find other romantic interests..my father went on a date w/a girl only 4 years older then me on saturday night and he said they had a great time :eek:

my mom has sort of mentioned some guy, but won't really go into detail just yet..

the whole experience is surreal to say the least..

and to those that said they wished their parents would get a divorce i know how you feel - my parents fought all the time, frankly my father was a fucking asshole(please excuse my language..but its the best way to describe it) but as soon as my mother told him she wanted to seperate he became a different person overnight, its incredible...he and i have never been been closer...just goes to show that some people are better off not being together rather then staying together for whatever reason.
