This may vary from state to state, but I do know in Florida, the government will pay back your student (Stafford) loans if you teach in a critical need subject area (mathematics, special education, etc.) and teach in a public school system for at least three consecutive years. I'm sure this varies from state to state. My advice to you is to check your respective state's Department of Education website.
