Identify those alphas that are gay and remove them. Secondly we have to intensify our screening process with background checks. Thirdly, any perspective must be recommended by 7 brothers in good standing-and make all bruhs recommending a dude be responsible for that dude! Finally, we should pledge the hell out of them for a three-month period.
* GET READY TO FLAME ME*

First, I have NO IDEA about the inner goings on in A Phi A. It is not my business. But, how on earth are you (in general) going to identify gay members? Are you suggesting Gestapo tactics? Second, I do agree with the background checks. It is hard to greet your soror/frat after you find out after initiation that she/he has some issues.....Third, the recommendations should be followed up. They do it for a job. Fourth, no pledging the hell out of them. That is what got us in this new MIP process in the first place.

Sista, I like the way you think!

I also gotta give dap to Enlightenment06. He, along with most of us, feel that pledging has its value, but without the hazing.

I also feel that we hafta find out-by any means necessary-who the hell is gay and who aint; cause like Bro. Fato said, that shit is like a cancer eating away our body. I know I seem homophobic to many of you, but I don't give dam how I seem to yall. E'rbody knows that image is everything with frats; and it has all but killed our image. It is absolutely imperative that we excuse those "members" from our ranks.

Finally, I DO mean pledge the hell out of 'em! But do it right! Exercise them. Teach them how to care for each other. Teach them how to properly fund-raise. Demonstrate the proper way to do community projects and service. Teach them conflict resolution techniques.

If it's well-planned, it's alot easier to do it.

Bro. OA,

No definition is required for those who indeed PLEDGED. The only time that word is taken negatively is when they were initiated wrong, or not at all. Which further proves the point of this discussion.

Oh My Dear A PHI A where has thee gone ?
I crossed in 93 And I do say crossed
I went through intake by day
and oh lord did i pledge at night - ole-skool
Intake needs to be shot -stabbed -burned- and spoken of only in a quiet whisper from now on. it is killing the frats, ( i hear this from Nupes - Ques - Blue brothers...)
we becoming organizations of members not brothers, and u can see it in these young head attitudes.
pledging is essential to the soul the bonds r not being formed like they should
and that shows in the problem that arise we r our brothers keepers.
pledging made one accountable to their line brothers. that formed friendship/ true brotherhood that has lasted for a decade.

"if there is no struggle there is no progress"
Frederick Douglass-- frat brother?
that is for another thread to
decide.

not much in life worth having, comes easy- any thing that comes easy may not be worth much
