We just sit in a circle and go through all the good and bad shit that we want to vent. They take forever though and I can't imagine how long they take in a large chapter.

Good and welfare and a candle pass are two diffrent things. Good and welfare is done at the end of every meeting (or every other meeting dependng on how the GLO dose it). A candle pass is something that is is done only when nessacary and not at a meeting. It is long, emotional, and something that isn't fun. It works, and helps out when there are issuses that can't be delt with any other way.

We have something like the babble box though we call it grins and gripes. Though we have gavel passes too, however my chapter has never held one. WE also have candel passes and they are only for good, positive things. Either an engagement type thing and then we also have them at sisterhood and new member retreats. Everyone always ends up bawling they're very emotional.

My chapter has has gavel passes but they are a rare occurence in fact it has been at least 4 years since the last one. We have also done a candle pass, to boost morale, everyone had to say something about the sister with the candle(positive of course).

We do good and welfare... and candle passes... but neither are for "airing feelings" We have fire sides for that... where there is usally a thing to pass and each person gets to say their piece... candle passes are for engagements and such I think go stop stay sounds effective. :D
