Great Question!

Ummm...

My children
My sisters & my mother
A marriage that's getting back on its feet
My closest friends
My incredible Sorors
A job that pays the bills
Good work relationships
The possibility of a more fulfilling job on the horizon
Fun and uplifting activities to fill my days and nights
God's presence in my life
The power of prayer

More later...

My goodness, how things change in two years, lol.

I am thankful that The Almighty gave me the strength to step out on faith and live my dream of living in DC. I am thankful for the experience because it showed me A LOT about myself and what I'm capable of.

I am thankful for my soulmate. I am thankful that we met 11 years ago and cultivated a strong friendship. I am thankful that we are still friends after all of this time (and distance). And I am thankful that we were both able to put our fears aside and take our relationship to that next level.

I am thankful that I have a job, even though I am ready to leave it.

- God's all around grace
- My family (nuclear and extended) - even the ones that make me  sometimes
- My health
- Opportunities with which I've been blessed.
- The fact that no matter how hard life seems, I'm still in a good position compared to a lot of people around the world.

iceandivy 11-06-2003 07:59 PM

My new friends, church family, health of my family, God's blessing of a whole year of life for my nephew (born last year at 1lb 4oz), my son, my man, and my life.

I am blessed.

I'm thankful that my SF passed her bar exam! GO GIRL! ;)

I'm thankful that my grandfather just celebrated his 70th birthday on the 5th...he had a heartattack right after thanksgiving 2001, and had a stroke right before thanksgiving 2002. He's in good health now.

I'm thankful for my life, health and strength.

I'm thankful for my job, there are soooo many people out there who don't have one.

I'm thankful for the good friendship I have with P-diddy, even if we don't end up married, he's my bestestest friend.

I'm thankful for all of my friends and family, even the ones that get on my last nerve (love ya Ma).

I'm thankful that I have more than enough to eat...although I complain all the time about wanting to lose weight...I'm glad I'm not starving.

I'm thankful that I know where my soldier friends are and that they are alive and well.

I'm thankful for:

My job--the job that Hubby and I work is only part time (this is so we can be at home with our son and be involved in his school) but through GOD'S GRACE, we have a roof over our heads, food on our table, clothes that fit on our backs, a car that runs, and our son has everything he needs and some of what he wants.

My college degree--it cost over $40K in student loans, but when a lot of people told me that I wouldn't make it through when I got pregnant, I can look at that red diploma case and say I MADE IT!!

My Son--even though he has a learning difference (I don't use the word disability) and is ADHD, he is a well-behaved child and is very respectful and kind and has lots of friends. Hubby and I work at an agency for bad kids and we see how these parents struggle.

My Hubby--after my very bad 1st marriage and subsequent divorce, I prayed to God to send me someone if it is not meant for me to be by myself. And he did. He is my best friend and a great father to our son and shows a lot of patience when working with him.

Also, I'm thankful for my church, my co-workers, and my sands and sorors!!

Now I'm not happy about working on Turkey Day, but I'm thankful for that little thing called TIME AND A HALF!!! I figured that Hubby can bring me a plate to the agency. ;)

0. Knowing GOD for myself
1. Life and Health
2. My family(future HUUUUBBY) and friends/Mending fences with my once enemies
3. My brand new car
4. My future business
5. On payday is when I thankful for my job....:p
I am always thankful for that.

Conskeeted7 11-10-2003 06:08 PM

I am thankful...

- to be alive - I was in a really bad car accident and I know that it could have been much worse if the Lord was not there with me

- for my health - almost all of my wounds from the accident have healed and the dr.s said it'd take at least a year

- for my husband - he has been so patient with me, through illness, jobs, stress, and everything else. I'm so glad that we have the beautiful relationship that we do

- for my brother - I am so proud of him and I love the way that he still looks up to me and I can be a good big sister to him

- to have some financial freedom - this is the first year in a while that I haven't had a lot of bills and it feels really good :D

This year, I'd give thanks for...

1. The birth of my nephew (he's 3 months old)
2. The impending births of another nephew and godchild (I have four now)
3. Being able to see another day (and hopefully many more)
4. My adorable niece, Kasia Blue (she'll be 16 months when Thanksgiving rolls around)
5. Knowing about my half-sister, Nadia (the mother of my niece)
6. Having good friends that I can go to for anything
7. That I don't have drama in my life this year (my ex to be specific  )

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

8. BEING ABLE TO TALK TO MY BEST FRIEND, 9476, OVER THE PHONE (it's a long time coming)

This year, I'm still thankful for ALL of the above, with the exception of #8. I don't speak to this person anymore b/c this person betrayed my trust!!!! My nephews are two and one month shy of two and my niece is three now. All 5 of my godchildren range in age from one month shy of 2 years old-7 years old. AND I LOVE THEM ALL TO DEATH!!!!!!!! :D

Well, not much has changed this time around, lol. I am thankful still for my mate of soul. And I am thankful that I found the job that I was looking for when I moved here. Praise Yah!! I have much to be thankful for, especially my family, sorors, and friends. What about you?
