When I first used PhotoShop, I was a high school newspaper adviser. I can't remember if we had version 3 or 4. Back then, I was learning the program along with the kids. I got a copy for home (ssshh!), and taught myself a lot, mostly from websites.
I was also dating a guy who was a computer graphic artist (at the time). I learned a lot by just watching him work. He showed me how to do basic touch ups to pictures. Since I didn't have a scanner @ the time, I always asked him to scan photos of my niece for me...he'd always want to touch them up, to even out the color, delete the background, etc.
(Incidentally, we ended up getting married... http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies...1bluewinky.gif)
Anyway, I now always touch up every photo I scan (or shoot w/ my digital cam)..and I guess I've gotten pretty good at it, that people ask me to fix up theirs.
