Like it or not, Hoosier is usually on the money. At certain times I don't agree with how he titles some of his posts.

Yet, if greeks keep giving him nasty stuff to post about he should post it.

This isn't Wonderland and last time I checked none of you were Alice!

I really don't understand why this post was posted. It seems as though it's trying to "call Hoosier out" and to do it in Chit Chat of all places?!

Woo Woo is dead here.

I'm sorry. This wasn't meant to offend anyone. If this thread is inappropriate, I ask that the mods delete it.

That was a sincere apology, and now I'm going to ask that people stop jumping on me. I know that hoosier posts news, and I generally read it. I don't have an issue, this is just something that I wondered. A question doesn't always mean that someone "has issues" with someone else.

For those who answered the question without snippiness, thank you.

Is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black? ;)

If you didn't have an issue, why start a thread?

If you post something people disagree with, why act surprised when they "jump" on you?

Inappropriate? Nope.

Are there better ways of handling things like this? Yup.

Apologies to you if this sounds "snippy", but I'm kind of tired of people berating Hoosier. I think he does this site a service by bringing news clips that we should all read. Nit picking on his headlines (which you have to admit, they get you to click on the thread) has been discussed many times too many.

Oh, so it's okay if a headline that hoosier posts is racist as long as it gets you to read the article?

B.S., everybody. There is a line and, let's admit it, he sometimes crosses it.

Kevin 09-19-2003 03:04 AM

I had to go clear back to June 27th of this year to find any mention of race in one of Hoosier's subject lines.

http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...threadid=35476

There's the thread.

Now, there was a decent discussion going on in there until the PC police came by and interrupted the discussion. The mod of Greek Life never edited it, if ya'll had been that disturbed over the incedent, she might have obliged you. You didn't call for change, you just griped about Hoosier. So I have to wonder, is this the result of certain individuals wanting attention for being on the right side of things or were they truly disturbed?

Now, I don't deny that sometimes Hoosier's thread titles may be a little contraversial. I have never seen him post something that was found to be false though. Some seem to think he has some sort of evil agenda? Why do we need to have this umpteenth thread discussing this tired old subject? If you don't like what he has to say, do what I do about the anti-Bush threads. Ignore 'em.

Here's a suggestion for the future: don't jump on someone if you don't want to get jumped on.

There is no woo woo here.

I don't see why it's such a big damn deal that he tries to inform us of how stupidity can screw over an organization. It's obviously something that is of interest to him, probably cause he's worked doing articles for his fraternity magazine before. How many times have you seen a positive greek article anyway? Very few I bet. So let him do his thing, he's not harming anyone.

And, yes he does have a positive article its Chi O at Wake may get another chance

33girl 09-19-2003 10:52 AM

Actually, the title s and s & I are referring to was so inflammatory it got edited, and I'm not about to post it again, because it was disgusting. If you really want to know, PM me.

You don't see too many people saying I'm sorry on GC. Think maybe it's time to accept the appology and give her a break? I do.
