Hahaha, that's what I was thinking.

The sexual double standard will exist as long as there are girls around to condemn other girls for doing exactly what they condone in their guys.

She'll grow out of this (as do most of the girls who come to college like that), and the last thing she needs is that. If the guys had a problem, they would tell her, right? But what do I know?

I have made people cry before, and you know what? I got my point across, but I felt terrible afterwards. Live and learn, I guess.

I agree with you 100%. I've never actually made someone cry but people have been mean enough to me before to make me cry and you know what, IT SUCKS! And I'd never ever take pleasure in making someone feel that way, whether or not they "deserved" it.

Ever notice that women are a lot harder on other women than men are in almost any social situation? Why is that?

girls are evil thats why lol j/k although we can be at times. Dont ever get on a girls bad side ;) but about this I dont agree fully with what you did only b/c it seems like this girl is crying out for some help, most people that act that way are. I definitly would have talked to her but not been too mean about it not try to make her cry cause thats not going to change her actions at all.

I think that it is better to handle girls like this with a little more class. What the girl needs to know is that she can get attention without throwing herself at guys. Although your feelings of revulsion and disgust with her are completely justified, I think maybe you were a little meaner than necessary. Dealing with someone gossipping and acting like she was is one thing, but I agree that this girl's self esteem can't be very high and something like this could completely tear it down.

I think women are a lot harder on other women in general, which really sucks. :( One of the things I've tried hard to do is to be positive to all women, and it's sad that it's something that has to be learned, instead of something that comes naturally. There is a book that specifically deals with that---it's called Slut: Growing Up Female with a Bad Reputation . It's a biographical sketch of several different women, ranging from 13 to 70, whom at one point have been given bad reputations based on their (actual or perceived) sexual activity. The biggest perpetrators of the "slut," "whore," or other epithets are--you guessed it, other women.

So, did the guys get a piece of your mind for sleeping with the same girl in the same night? That isn't too cute, either.

Did anyone really find out if "This Girls" statements were true about all of the sex she supposedly had? :(

It seems that question was not asked nor answered.

They would have gotten an Ovation. Depending on what she looked like.

Sorry edited to say that their chapter brothers would have given them an Ovation.

James is right. As disgusting as this truth is, it IS the truth. So girls, why are we so hard on each other in social situations? Are we that insecure, or just that judgemental? Why is it that we can't genuinely care enough to help someone with their faults? Do we just enjoy seeing them screw up even more?

I think there are an overabundance of reasons, a true 31 flavors, including, being judgmental, jealous, insecure, being a bitc#, self righteous, etc...

WHOA!!! Back up...I am not owned by any Teke, we'll get that straight right here. I am pinned by a member, basically a fraternity engagement.

Heh..ya know I actually just posted this thread to see how many of you would react. Yes, the actions were true of what happened. Yet, some of you failed to read my second post of the "reasons" of why I did what I did. Mainly I approached her because it involved 2 of my best friends, and my girl was not in the emotional state to handle having a chat with the girl.

Oh Tom, the accusations were true of the girl. I made sure. :)

And another thing...I really wasn't that mean when talking with her, I said some few choice words, but nothing really bad, I'm thinking the only reason she really got upset is because she got caught up in a lie.
