I am a prospective member of an organization and one of the first things I did, if not the first, was to make sure that I put God first in this decision. I asked the same question the first time I ever approached a person about membership.
I think it is up to the individual to keep God in all aspects of their lives, including the greek part. |
Even though I was not going to post, but.... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif
While I was in church yesterday, this topic came to mind. It dawned upon me that MY minister is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He has it right there on his car! Then, I realized OTHER clergy members that I know who are members of Greek Letter Organizations! Therefore, IT IS possible to be a Christian and a GLO member. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif I knew that anyway! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif |
A pledged after I became a Christian in a soroity founded on Christian principles. By being a Christian, it encouraged me to do more things within my sorority that gave back to the community. I know it is possible, I have respect for the Lord, I love the Lord, my sorority sisters love the Lord.
