Actually this probably isn't the chapter you're referring to.. We're Texas A&M, not Texas.. Their Greek system is a lot bigger than ours (I think the percentage of greek students at t.u. is like 90% or something, whereas ours is about 10%), and you were right, it is ridiculously competitive there.. Our system is still pretty large, total is 175 but most houses are at about 200 or so.. But regardless, KD is doing well in both places :)

Actually, I was giving a kudos to TexasKD82 from the previous page...she listed The University of Texas at Austin under her post. Total there is 150 and I heard from my cousin that they had less than 800 girls rushing this year and that the greek population looks like a big deal there, but in reality Greeks make up less than 3% of the student body (I think the student body is like 50,000 so they must include grad students in that figure.) Like you said, everything there is so ridiculously competitive that I'm sure their proud just to make quota!!!

Anyways, as a Louisiana neighbor, I'm pumped that my KD sisters are doing well in both places!!

Sorry to crash, but my younger sister just pledged KD's new Eta Eta chapter/colony at Northern Kentucky University and tonight they won the Pumpkin Smash. I am not really sure what it is but I am pretty sure that it involved all Greeks on campus. I think that is pretty awesome for such a young chapter. I can tell they will do wonderful things at NKU!! Congrats to all of Kappa Delta.
