I think it would be great if it were punishable, but I know it never will be. It probably wouldn't keep spouses from cheating (all other crimes are still committted). I think they'd just try to be even sneakier and sleazier about it.

Seriously though, one outta not pick a$$wipes who cheat... And taletell signs are always there... Even befo one gets married... So if a MF cheats, then folks gotta chalk it up and move somewhere--they ain't gotta go home, but they gots to get the Hell up outta heeeaaarah...

Or you can alway Lauraina Bobbitt a MF... (Sorry guys--I couldn't hep myself ;))

In my ideal world, if you cheat, you would be castrated or sewn up. Then, the wronged spouse could sue you until you don't have a pot to piss in. Good thing I'm not in charge. ;)

Adultry shouldn't be punishable by law - but it is and should be grounds for divorce, and adultry should be taken into account when it comes to the grounds of the divorce.

I only can hope that adultry will itself become its own crime... that one day in the dark the person involved will realise their mistake - and the guilt and remorse will be repentance enough.
