Jeepers Creepers, so horrible! How in the hell they came up with a 2 I will never know.

DeltaSigStan 08-20-2003 01:28 PM

Jason X
Asylum of Terror
Knocking on Death's Door
Border Wars
Down for the Barrio

Word to the wise from someone who worked in a video store:

1) If the VHS tape ISN'T black, the movie is probably one you never heard of or just complete crap. Only exception was Payback con Mel Gibson

2) If you didn't hear about it in theaters (of course I mean the current new releases, DON'T RENT IT.

Another nomination for "The Debut". That was the most stereotypical movie about Filipino culture I've ever seen, nothing but horrible cliches. Maybe it might be because the Ben character reminds me so much of myself, and I experienced a lot of the same stupid shit he did, like being confronted by wannabe gang bangers who show their true colors in front of their parents.

Haha, no Groundhog Day wasn't a typo... I remember it was on someone's list, maybe yours? for movies people should see... I just thought it was awful... just my opinion.

Totally agree...Groundhog Day is awesome. "Don't drive angry!"
(of course, Bill Murray's comedy does not appeal to everyone...)

To add to the list of movies NOT to see:
To Die For
Mary Reilly
Congo

lionlove 08-20-2003 02:59 PM

A Midsummers Night Dream with Calista Flockhart. True Horror.

volgirl2376 08-20-2003 03:18 PM

The Banger Sisters
Dr. T & the women
The Island of Dr. Moreau (sp?)
Emma
Punch Drunk Love
Spice World
Runaway Bride

Summer of Sam

The Uncut version of Dune.

You think wasting TWO hours is bad? Try wasting FOUR!

The Postman
Waterworld (Alas, poor Costner, we knew him well......)

Scooby Doo is up there as well. There was one moment in the film worth watching: a shot of the van with smoke pouring out of the top and Scooby w/ whats-his-face giggling their heads off in the sound track. Hard-core classic cartoon fans will get that one.

Other hall of shamers:

Species 1 and 2

Weekend at Bernies (not even specifying 1 or 2 there isn't enough of a difference between them)

Anything bad enough to be showcased on MST3K. (They had one that actually starred Raul Julia not too long ago. Bad *and* horrific!)

Adrienne
:D

CatStarESP4 08-20-2003 03:22 PM

Hamburger, the Motion Picture (it was bloody awful and a waste of celluloid)
Cutting Class (a must avoid)
The Sure Thing (one of the worst 1980s teen flicks)
The Accompanist (very depressing)
