yea- usually i don't comment on things that people complain about.... if its in greek life- i'm probably more apt to read it than if its in chit chat and i think those topics were fairly relevant to the broad characterization of the greeklife arena...... but.. why do you care..?

Good observation - hence, this one is named "...oh, and another thing..."

Everything can be tied to "Greek Life" if you tried. For instance, I can start a thread in Greek Life called "Batteries" - with the purpose of this thread being "why do they leak acid if they sit in a flashlight too long?". Batteries have nothing to do with Greek Life at all, EXCEPT, I could say that it does have something to do with Greek Life because at least one person, out of the 10,000 employees at Rayovak, is greek....or because the CEO of Duracell is greek, or because my neighbors, sisters, dogs breeder, uses D Cell batteries on the dog collar, and that battery was bought from Wal-Mart, which just so happens to be founded by a Beta.

Is that "Greek" enough for this thread to be in Greek Life?

This is an issue with me, because I go into Greek Life to read about Greek Issues. I don't want to go into a thread in Greek Life called "Help me with an issue", and have to read about what tampon some chick should be using.

umm, if you feel the posts in "greek life" are irrelevant to greek life and bother you so much, don't come back to GC. i'm sure you wont be missed.

But that's totally stupid and irrelevant. I'll repeat myself again!!

The "Need advice" thread had to do with the fact that I bought an SAI badge from Ebay, have been wearing it, but wasn't sure whether I should still wear the badge or send it to nationals. How is this not about Greek life? Part of Greek life is the badges we wear.

And the thread about "my peeve" was about how I hate when people make fun of sororities that have all shapes and sizes of girls in them. How is this not about Greek life?

The thread about wedding traditions was started by a girl who wanted to know if GLOs had wedding traditions for their sisters. How is this not about Greek life?

Prove to me that those aren't about Greek life. I'll be waiting for your reply, which will probably be another post to make you look like the dumbass you really are.

What makes my thread about batteries less relevent than anything on my list of examples?

PS, you don't need to justify your threads.

Don't make me take my ball and go home.

I encourage you to find a hobby or some other activity in which to occupy your time. Apparently you've got a little too much of it on your hands.

Completely unecessary! Let me pull up my stats sheet - my 150 posts to your 1850, in almost the same amount of time? Ok, yeah, you made a great point with that comment....genius, pure genius I tell ya.

Ask yourself this question:

Are there, or are there not, threads that belong in other topics other than Greek Life? If you say yes, then my point is proven...its that simple. If you say no, look again.

LMAO. Sometimes pictures can just add so much to a thread

SigmaChiGuy 08-15-2003 01:58 PM

Hey, J.T.'s all around....sweeeeet.

Not really, but amycat and John both have lives and probably haven't been online yet :)

SigmaChiGuy 08-15-2003 02:01 PM

Then we'll just tack this thread onto the bottom of the long list of threads that shouldn't be in here, right?
