I'm half and half. For me, it really depend on the situation.
|
I would say that I am a leader only after I give someone else the chance to lead. If no one steps up, then I become dominate. Then, if someone does step up, I make sure that my opinion is heard because I am very opinionated.
The only time that I follow is when I dont really care one way or the other, but any other time, you'll most likely hear my mouth. Q |
leader
i believe in setting trends...

I would say I'm the best of both words. I agree that it depends on the situation. I look at it as in learning to be a good leader, I had to follow someone at some point in time.
|
I'm a little bit of both with leader traits...:)
|
Like a lot of people on here, I guess I'm a combination of both. I'm in a few leadership positions where people are under my direction, but I still have to report to someone over me. And this is fine with me. Naturally though, I'm a follower. And this means that I don't "follow" people (I have my own mind), but I try to follow orders and directions from someone above me.

I'm shocked to see how many of you prefer to follow, because I see a lot of strong personalities. I hope that didn't offend. Just surprised.

Leader
I would definitely say I am a leader... not because I want to be... but becuse I usually disagree with the way things are being handled. So i ended up leading it to another direction.
That...or... I cant stand to see people procrastinate ( it happens alot at my J.O.B) so i take charge and hurry up and get it done. |
I would have to say that I am a combination of both. It may be at a particular time where I am not qualified or do not have enough experience or knowledge to lead, but once I learn, then I am ready and then, there may be times when I just take the initiative, so like many, I would say that it depends on the situation.

When there is a capable and effective leader in place, I have no problem following. With my busy schedule, sometimes I like being able to just be an Indian and not worry about being a Chief.
Meanwhile, when there is a leader who is not doing his or her job or could be doing it better, I tend to step up and offer my support and suggestions. Normally, I end up being the leader of whatever plan of action I suggest. It tends to go like this: ClassyLady: "Leader, why don't we try ABC?" Leader: "That sounds like a great idea. Why don't you get it together and let me know how it goes?" P.S. Am I the only one who instantly thought of MTB2 and the clip where everyone in the group was talking about how they were the real leader of the band? |
Although it depends on the situation, I am definately more of a leader. I am very opinionated, and often times don't hold back what I have to say. I'd rather do my own thing b/c I am a perfectionist and usually like things done my way, (and the right way) the first time around. If someone else is in the leadership role and they need help, or aren't doing their job right, then I'll do it b/c it needs to get done...

I am a leader. I am learning the art and the strength of occasionally following.
