I swore up and down that I'd never smoke - and then I did. But thankfully I'm taking a wonderful Healthful Living course which has made me decide to stop smoking :) So that I will be happy about!

I swore that I'd never:
Date someone younger than me...too bad that happened last semester Become one of those girls who is obsessed with the gym...I was seriously the laziest person on the planet and now I am a total gym freak! :p Date a fraternity guy...too bad that is ALL I've dated since I've been in college ;) Have kids....haven't had any yet thankfully and I don't ever plan to! :) Like my brother's girlfriend b/c she was mean to me in high school.....luckily I got over that and we're friends now :) |
I swore I'd never teach...oh, well. So did my husband and most of the other teachers I know.
I swore, after driving through, that I'd never live in Starkville, Mississippi. Five years later.... |
I swore I'd never smoke... chainsmoked for 2 weeks freshman year.
I swore I'd never work in retail after Macy's (I stuck it out for 4 shifts before quitting)... I worked at Nordstrom and actually enjoyed it. And of course I've sworn to not hook up with certain boys again and again or use my credit card *too much*... but you know how those things go.... |
I swore I'd never...
... go to the University of Louisville (heck, I ended up going there not once, but twice! Sheesh!) ... get on an airplane (still don't like it too much) ... be in a long-distance relationship (did that one twice) ... move back to Louisville (left in 1988, came back in 1990 for a decade, and now am sadly gone for good.) ... miss living in Louisville (see above, darn it!) ... let the TV babysit my children (LOL, that went out the window by 18 months of age!) ... eat red meat again (finally, one I can stick to!) ... get a tattoo (I've survived this long, I think I can live without one!) Christin |
I thought I would never have a crush on a younger guy, now I have a crush on a guy 7 years my junior.
I thought that I would never live with my parents after completing grad school, well I dropped out and lived with them since (how depressing and I rue each and every day)! Once I dropped out of grad school, I vowed never to give it another chance, now I want to go back! http://smilies.crowd9.com/contrib/edoom/sad2.gif |

I swore I would not be unemployed after graduation because with all my internships, you would think I'd be a working woman by now. But 2 months later, to no avail... :(

After working in an office environment last summer during my internship, I swore I would never go back to retail ever again. Funny what you'll end up doing when you can't find a job post-graduation. :( Luckily, I found a job (3 months later!) and I'm back in an office environment.

I said I would never act like I like someone who I don't. If I didn't like someone, I would ignore them or be obnoxious towards them.
-Since I came to college and started working I'm slowly discovering that showing dislike to certain people is the worst move you can make. Usually because it burns bridges that you may NEED to cross in the future. I'm still against falsely befriending people, but I do act cordial or neutral. I said I would never be cheap. -Well I started college, got a job, and am partially financially indepedent of my folks. They provide a roof over my head, that's just about it, anything else I have to pay for it myself. |
I swore I would:
Never date a man under 6 feet tall. (the husband is 5'7) Here is a biggie: I would NEVAH EVAH get involved with a man who had children! Famous last words...my husband has a 13 year old from his previous marriage |
I swore I'd never:
1. Do anything colorful to my hair (well actually...I only highlighted it) 2. Have a long distance relationship (it just isn't for everyone and then it depends on how strong the relationship is and if you're willing to make things work) 3. Listen to country music (my coworker got me hooked on it but I love it) 4. Do the whole makeup routine (but even so...I still wear once in a bluemoon but it's only the basics) |
