I think if anything I would maybe get a breast lift in like 20 years if I decided that they became a lil droopy or something. I thought about liposuction only b/c Im in the acting and music field and well Im lazy or at least I used to be and just wanted the easy way out but now I love workout classes especially in the morning! they just make me feel good for the rest of the day! but I'll tell ya what i would like to do is get some of my little beauty marks or freckles whatever they are on my face gone...Im not sure how easy it is to do that but theres like 3 that are just annoying and I want em GONE!

I think I would consider liposuction, though. I'm just so paranoid about looking yucky when I'm older...my stepdad is very hard on my mom since she gained weight from her cancer treatments about six years ago, and I never want to go through that. |
I wouldn't do it...My sister and mom both had plastic surgery and their results were less than desireable. My sister is permanently bruised from her operation and my mom has horrible marks on her legs from her lipo. The risks are too great for me to be that vain. Now, if it were a medical emergency like my face was horribly disfigured in an accident or something, I'd maybe try it.
As far as insurance, MOST insurance plans will not cover plastic surgery for whatever reason. It's not a medical necessity so they won't cover it. Even if your breast size is causing major back problems (happened to a friend of mine) they won't cover it. Make sure you really really want to do it befoer you fork out the cash. |

~ In theory, I'd go up a cup size. But then I start picturing everything they have to do during the surgery and I get repulsed! If there is ever a breakthrough that makes the surgery not so icky, I'd would do it. |
I think I would get either lipo or a tummy tuck.

I have a birthmark I'd like to get rid of... one of these days.
When I wanted to get my ears pierced, my dad made me go to a plastic surgeon. Local anesthetic in the earlobes and all that good stuff. He was convinced that if I had it done at a jewelry store it would get infected. |
I'm all about the lipo/body contouring. I'm pretty healthy and fit, but there are those damn problem areas! Nothing a little suction couldn't help :D

Edited to add: I guess they'll do anything if the price is right! |

Speaking of plastic surgery, I would only have a breast reduction. However, a relative had a nose job when she was about 16. http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmili.../pinkieone.gif |
As a bigger girl, I've become accustomed to relatively perky DD breasts.
I've been working out and losing a lot of weight, and I'm now a straight D. If I go below a D once I'm at my goal weight, I'll be giving myself implants as a weight-loss gift. |
It all depends on the insurance provider and plan. Ours covers all reductions, because they can be either preventive medicine or relieving the various problems that come with having very large breasts. I have friends, from the children of physicians to Gap employees, who have had their insurance cover their reductions.
I had plastic surgery when I was younger after an accident. It wasn't disfiguring, but it had the potential to be as I got older. I plan on getting implants, 'cause I think some serious weight loss around boob-growing age impeded what would have been natural growth (as evidenced by female relatives on both sides of the family). We have private insurance, but a family member who works for Uncle Sam had the cost of the operation covered by Tricare (not the implants, though). |
My mom has implants. She had so much tumorous tissue in her breasts that they had to do a double mastectomy in order to do the pathology to find out if it was cancerous. So there was so much crap in there, they ended up removing everything!
They left her "open" on the table while they sent her tissues to the lab to get checked and since it was all benign, they put implants in to reconstruct, as she had asked if the results were negative. Had the results been positive, they would have stripped her lymph nodes and closed her up with no implants and started chemo, so it is good that there was no cancer... Anyway, she started out as I think an A...She is now a C...so she used it to her benefit! And in THIS case, yes, it is covered by insurance. Oh, and one of my best friends had a reduction and my ex-boyfriend had lipo! HA! On his man-boobs! |
Breast reduction down to a C!
