In the context, it makes no sense. I think she's just trying to scare you. You didn't make an actions or say anything legally that she can refute.

In other words, she's just bitter and blowing smoke out of her ass.

If it's another local, there's not much you can do.
But if it's a national sorority, you should send a copy of the email to their advisor or their HQ. It wasn't a very ladylike, gracious, or even civil email.

People need to realize you can't just sue for any damn thing you feel like!:p

Heh, ahh yes....this looks familiar. We've gotten this PLENTY when word got round that we were starting a new sorority. This won't be the end of it, so grow some thick skin and go with the flow. It'l be hard to ignore it, but you just have to prove yourself to them. Anyway, she sounded like a big ole b*tch, looks like you're not missing much.

Thanks everyone that really helped alot it was reather theraputic in a way. hehe anyways I know it was just to scare us and what not and my friend Gina (the other founder) was like Lauren I think she confused us because that description sounds more like me oh well they sent an apology letter but i dunno it wasn't from her it was from a diff sister and and it just wasn't the same oh well life goes on and because of her i want to work so much harder at this now and prove 'em wrong :)
