I used to be pretty decent with French. My Spanish is good enough to get by with. Used to be an international trade major. Haven't had an opportunity to use that French in awhile. Don't anticipate one in the immediate future either.. Spanish though I get to bumble with about every day.

Je parle français couramment. Parfois je m'embrouille quand les autres gens parlent aussi le jeûne ;)

I know some German, three years in high school and a semester in college. Going to take another semester in German. I'm also going to be taking two semesters of Spanish. However, the one language I want to learn is Italian and they don't offer it here.

Francais est mon langue prefere, mais je parle arabie aussi. Francais est tres facile; je parle depuis 7 ans. Arabie est une langue nouvelle pour moi. Je le comprends bien, mais je ne parle pas bien. :)
Basically, French is my second language, and I'm taking up Arabic. It's really easy to learn as far as comprehension. Sometimes I have problems sticking words together intelligently so that's something to work on. Writing it is damn impossible!!! Reading is easier w/ time, but remember how to do what letters when is by far the most difficult aspect of the language. But I do love writing things because it's sooo pretty!! And there's no such thing as "silent letters" so I at least have that going for me. |
I know just enough Spanish and French to be dangerous. I can understand Spanish fairly well if people don't talk too fast. My hispanic students often get an answer in English but they know I understood them. Sometimes I mix the two and my speech comes out in Franish. Poor little kids just look at me.

Re: In Which Languages are you Fluent?
I took Spanish in high school, but it was the biggest joke class. It was taught by the baseball coach, and of course half the team was in the class, so all we talked about was baseball.
The only thing I can say is Spanish is "Alada a la izquierda deso burro esta un feugo." (sp) or: the left side of your donkey is on fire. |

El lado izquierdo de su burro esta en fuego, LOL Spanish is my first language. :D |
I'm not fluent in Spanish, but I'm decent at it. I studied it for seven years but I haven't had a class in a year and a half so it's starting to leave me. I'm learning Italian right now but I'm nowhere close to fluent.

I know very random phrases in Italian, Latin, German, French, Hebrew, Sandskrit, Swahili, and Japanese. Most of them because I've sung songs in those languages. Japanese becuase I took Karate for years.
