Oh my goodness! This is seriously the most disturbing movie I've ever watched. Even now I'll see something in the store or somewhere and it will remind me of the movie and I saw it 4 months ago! It is a movie that really sticks with you and while it is very upsetting, it's an absolutely excellent movie and I think everyone should be made to watch this movie! Ok sorry about that. :) /hijack

I gotta cosign on what everyone is saying about Requiem. When I first saw it I think afterward I just sat in front of the TV with my jaw hanging for like 5 minutes, lol. I immediately ran out and bought the DVD. Just a truly awesome (and yes, disturbing) movie.

That movie was awesome! it confused the hell out of me the first time I watched it but the 2nd time I understood it more. Kids is one of my favorite movies also though. Its like so reality...my best friend grew up in New Jersey and lemme tell you that is so how it was. Of course now a days the drugs and sex and all that crap isnt just for the less fortunate when it comes to money cause I know plenty of spoiled little rich kids that do some stuff thats much worse!

Nichole

I don't understand how "Kids" shocked people, even in 1994. I lived in a super-small town and I knew tons of kids with and without money who lived the fast life of sex and drugs, especially during the summer.

I think it was more shocking to parents and not so much to younger people. Of course there were kids out there that knew what was going on and some parents probably did too. But sometimes parents don't want to realice the reality of a situation related to the youth of today. Yet, when some parents see that movie, they are blown away. My mom saw the it a few years ago for the first time and she was just shocked.

Very interesting read...

Are your kids party animals?

Wow, if you moved the location to Northern Florida and the time back by 7 years, it is eerily familiar to my high school experiences. I wasn't a house trasher, but I went to many houses that were on their way to being trashed by hordes of drunken kids.

It never fails to surprise me how absolutely clueless parents can be about alcohol and drug use; just because you live in a nice neighborhood, your kids are in a zillion activities, and you're churchgoing doesn't make your child perfect. Give me one person who fawns over and over about how great and innocent their child is, and I'll show you one fool and one liar.
