The Boy bought me the Deluxe Edition for Christmas. I was playing it a lot when we lived together, but last week was the first time I played it since February or so. The Deluxe Edition also contains a "Sims Creator," you can use a picture of yourself to make your own Sim, which we did.

This has inspired me to play some more.

My ex-roommate was addicted to the Sims, I played a few times, but I would have to say that my most interesting Sims moment was when I threw a party and this lady was stuck in my bedroom and kept peeing on the floor. She eventually died... in my house!!!, bless her little Sim heart.

That is too funny. You can intentionally kill other sims too. Get them in the swimming pool and remover the ladder. They wont be able to get out and will eventually drown. Sick huh?

Now that is just way too harsh! Have any of you ever ran into the ghost that haunts the family at night or the aggrivating clown that won't go away?

I'm a board crasher...BUT you can call the "Clown Catchers" on the phone and they will get rid of the clown. Also get rid of the clown pictures, that is how the clown shows up.

**In reality I have a clown phobia so the clown was NO FUN**

Yes, I was a SIMS addict. I have not played in a few months but it was a everyday thing and I would play for hours and hours. It is fun once you set your neighborhoods up and create all your people.
Me too!

I owned The Sims Deluxe and about 5 expansion packs. Unfortunately the last one, SUperstar, toatlly killed my enjoyment of the game. It was taking up too much space on my hard drive, I was spending too much time on the internet downloading skins and objects, and I finally just removed the whole thing.

I haven't deleted all my downloads yet though, so who knows...

I think I will wait for Sims 2 to come out before I get involved with all that again. THAT game looks good!

what's the big hype about this game? i rented it one time for the PS2, and i promise i must have been a sims-retard. i promise my dude was completely depressed, but i guess thats what happens when you live with your mom and be like 35 years old at the same time. give me NCAA and madden any day of the week. those games are for us folks who have short attentions spans, lol.

We are taking about the PC version. It is very different from the PS2 version.

I got sick of my sims people. I guess I'm a sims idiot because I couldn't build houses, I couldn't make my people like each other or get them to go to work!! I just uninstalled it and put it up. the box is covered with dust and I'm just not interested in them anymore, athough I may want to purchase Sims Superstar.
