At our chapter we did the following chant:

Everyone gets in a circle with a hand towards the middle and we scream "aaaahhhhh" (Usually a sister will start screaming it and everyone else comes and the circle starts forming)

There is a clap that goes with it and after it in the same beat we chant it in that is pretty cool. We usually changed from clapping to banging on the walls and stopping the floor at parties

Hey everyone! My chapter is in a desperate need of chants and cheers..we have a couple but we do them over and over and over again...and not to mention the delta zeta's on campus stole some of ours, and are now using them! :eek: I like some of the one's that have been put up, but I am not sure how the "tune" of them go. We do the Sigma clap, and boom boom, and sigmaration, ...here are some of the ones that i didnt see posted..

Hey ladies! Some girls in my chapter just learned the Sigma clap, but we're wondering if there is a specific chant you all say before/after/when you do it, or if you just clap between cheers or what?

Heres an new chant that my girls do here at Gamma Psi!

The clap goes with "Spunk and Go". I believe it is in the song book....or at least it was in mine from 1995.

for some reason my chapter never learned the clap :( i feel so left out!! is it easy to teach over this forum?

I dont know if every chapter does it the same (we usualy do it when we extend a bid to a girl through open)
But I will try to explain it best I can over the comp.

One sister shouts "TRI SIGMA CLAP"
and then all sisters clap. its
1-2 123 1-2 123 123 123 1-2-3
(then every one shouts)
Were Tri Sigma cant you see
Were the best sorority
We've got spirit spunk and go
Were Tri Sigma don't you know.
(then every one repeats the same clap and the chant usually 3 times gradually getting louder.)
