I always find it funny that the cornerstone of foundation are always the first one to get cut. I'm talking about goverments cutting the education budgets to the point that most school still have Yugoslavia is one country in their text books. I read in the news thread of how one district is cutting its budget, then I read how schools in Buffalo have just let go, I think, around 35% of its teachers.

My mistake, Buffalo is reducing 12% of its teacher which will see 500 teachers being layoff. It also said that in 3 years, 1,000 teachers could also be layoff. And they wonder why Buffalo is going down to drain.

This makes me so mad too!

Both of my parents are teachers, and my mother does special ed (learnign diasbilities and mild/moderate handicapped) and she gets a special bonus every year for "dangerous workplace conditions."

Some of her LD kids last year were mad about her attendance policy and they slashed her tires. It makes me so mad because the school is nice and the district is overall very safe, but they have security cameras on the student parking lots, but not the teacher? I know that most of the students in this district have Mercedes and Mustangs while the teachers have the car they graduated college with, but STILL...

Sorry... /end rant.
