|
i am so sad to hear about this:(
|
My sincere sympathy.
|
That is horrible -- thoughts and prayers to all those close to the family, and of course to our fellow sisters.
WAKE-UP call people -- drunk driving is NOT acceptable even if you are going "just up the block" (a favorite "excuse" I hear)! ilovemyglo -- I am sure that you will be a wonderful comfort to John and his family during this time - he needs the love and strength of friends like you to move forward from this - sending you hugs and prayers!! |
My heart goes out to all of her family, greek and not, and friends. :(
|
Her family, friends, and AXO sisters will be in my prayers and thoughts.

So here is an update:
Her visitation was yesterday, funeral is today, and since it is 2 1/2 hours away I couldn't make it and work... John is doing better, at least he was last night, but I doubt he will be today. Many of his brothers came in to be with him, from as far away as Chicago! YEAH SIG EPS! I will update about the case against the man that hit her as it becomes available. His parents are dealing with this as any parents would I am sure.. below is her obituary: Carrie Camile Colglazier, 19, Noblesville, died June 6, 2003. She was a student at Butler University, planning on attending Montana State in the fall. She was a 2002 graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School, where she excelled as a student athlete, active in National Honor Society, FFA Judging Teams, 4-H, All-State in soccer and track, attended Butler University where she was awarded an athletic scholarship for soccer and a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Fund, 650 East Carmel Drive, Suite 490, Carmel IN 46032. Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday June 9 in Hamilton Southeastern High School Leonard Auditorium. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday June 8 in Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, Noblesville. Burial will be in Crownland Cemetery. Survivors include parents Bud and Karen Colglazier; brothers John and Mark Colglazier. |
just found out about this tonite.....i hate being at work all the time and never getting to call anyone back.........
this is really bad news to me.....i know john somewhat, mainly through sarah, and i just want to emphasize how truly saddened i am by this news. |
I haven't been on in a while so I just caught this. No one should have to die at such a young age. My thoughts are with the friends, family, and all AXO's.
|
My thoughts and prayers and with Carrie as well as her family and friends.
|
My heart goes out to all AXO's and her family. :(

Please people do NOT DRINK AND DRIVE-
Here is the worst and most updated news- The man that hit them was 22- and had 2 previous DUI's! |
There is NO excuse for that -- one time and you're out should be the rule! My cousin was killed by a drunk driver (a woman at that - so people don't be so foolish to think that men are the only guilty ones) -- my cousin was 2 and she was decapitated because the car that hit her was going so fast. This was in 1978 and the "punishment" then was that the woman had to do 50 hours of community service. That was all -- no jail time, no restitution (not that she could restore life but still...) -- my heart is still broken for her and my family over it.
This is why I tell my chapter members that they can call me - anytime - night or day and I will not lecture, fuss, or complain -- I will pick them up and take them home safely because being called up in the middle of the night is MUCH better than the alternative! |
