The South Bronx are, without question, one of the worst areas in the 5 boroughs of NYC. If she is claiming she's from the "South, south Bronx" she's claiming she's from a hard core, ghetto.

BTW, my mother was born in the South Bronx so I guess that she has street cred being from a hard core ghetto. She's my mommy from the Bronx. lol! I was born in Hell's Kitchen which was pretty hard core also. The movie Sleepers is set in Hell's Kitchen. |
