Peace & Blessings

I saw this movie last year at the Pan-African Film Festival in Los Angeles. It was suppose to come out last year. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and wish it would come to Northern Delaware of Philly. I would like to see it again.

I just hope....
 

....that this isn't just merely a black version of St. Elmo's Fire, b/c that movie was too soap-operaish for me and boring as Hades to boot (Oh, wow! Rich young people with PROBLEMS!!!).

While I am interested in seeing this, I am being a little cautious.

If someone can assure me that this is no St. Elmo's Fire, that will help me.

I enjoyed the movie. I felt it was missing something, but I'm not sure what it was. When it comes out on DVD, we'll definitely get it.

The movie did not have a soap operaish feel to me. It was cool.. Made me think about my life as a 32 year old, educated, legally employed, with no children or husband...YET!!! ;)

It's playing at the United Artist Theater in Union Square and the AMC Theater in Times Square.
