We'll have to wait and see SL3 to see if USC Greeks were slandered in any way. If this group is making untrue accusations, whether on MTV or even to other students locally, please USC Greeks, take this to the office of student activities for moderation.

We are guaranteed free speech, but we do not have the right to slander. Everyone is accountable for her actions. This group can be fined, have to issue a public apology for slander or could even be put on probation by the university student activities group for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Again, these are all what-if's. We have yet to see if anything has happened. But if they are spreading rumors, you have the right to go through the right channels and quell these rumors in a mature fashion.

When I went through initiation, afterwards, the tradition is for the big diamond sis to present the lil diamond sis with a paddle. I think it is a special and important tradition for us to keep. It does however keep the appearance of "hazing". Therefore, this fall, we are presenting the diamond sisters with a paddle outside of initiation during another time. I think this is perfectly fine, I have not known one girl (in and outside ADPi ) who was uncomfortable with receiving a paddle. I think it is a beautiful tradition.
