Don't try to please or satisfy other people at your own expense. Do things that make you happy. If you live to please your parents or friends, no one will be happy. You won't because you will be compromising yourself and subjugating your own needs for someone else's. The person that you are trying to please will never be satisfied. They will always expect you to put their needs before yours.

Try to come in with AP credits-- puts you ahead of the game (I didn't come in with any, took 1 AP class but didn't take the test) and gives you the option of going through fall recruitment your first semester (we had 2 freshmen join their 1st semester this past fall)

Don't be so wrapped up with your new college boyfriend that you drift away from your college girl friends.

While it's great to make new friends, you should try to maintain your old friendships from home.

Go on Spring Break every year! (I wish I had gone every year, but I did go to Acapulco and Daytona)

Don't sweat the small stuff. I was always so stressed, but I'm now trying not to sweat the small stuff because when it comes down to it, most of it is small.
