Thanks to everyone for their replies, here's what happened at the interest party:

I actually hadn't heard anything bad about the sorority I went to, but I hadn't heard anything good either, I mostly went because I wanted a good idea of who they were.

I came in with and open mind and talked to a lot of the girls, and once I felt more comfortable with them (and they were pressing me to ask any I had questions about the sorority :) ) I asked what their policy on hazing was.

Among the different girls I asked it was an immeadiate reply about how they never haze, and how degrading they thought it was. Not only did this make me feel better, but they were so cool about it. The question didn't offend them or shock them and they took it with stride.

Needless to say, their policy of not hazing and the fact that these girls were so nice and laidback makes them my first choice right now for rushing in the fall. :D
