It was correct for me and wrong for one of my brothers...

It was also correct for my friend who just gave birth in January and even though she was a month early, if she'd given birth in February like she was supposed to it showed M...which is what she had. Eerie

I'll chime in at 50% right. (Or wrong however you look at it!)

CrimsonTide4 04-02-2003 07:41 PM

My mom has 2 kids -- wrong for both!!

navane 04-02-2003 07:42 PM

I did it from my mom's perspective and it was correct. Though, I had to account for the fact that I was born five weeks too early. I looked for the box which corresponded with September instead of July.

.....Kelly :)

Pretending to be my mother I did it for both my brother and I. It was INCORRECT.

Apparently I was supposed to be a male and brother was supposed to be female.

My mom had three kids...according to the chart, all three of us should have been male, so unless the doctor cut the wrong cord, it was wrong twice :p

edited to add side note....What does the mother's age at conception have to do with the gender of the child since that is determined by the father....?

Good question!

I think it was once explained about the chart that the egg has a different "magnetic" charge on it at different times, different ages, different months (not sure why), and so will attract either an X sperm (girl) or a Y sperm (boy), so that partially determines the sex of the baby.

wrong for me

MoonStar17 04-08-2003 04:49 PM

My mom had me at 15, and her age isn't there. But it worked for my younger sisters who she had almost 10 years after I was born. But it didn't work for the youngest who was born 13 years after I was born.
My mom and dad started very young, my dad was only 19. And they are still happily married....they for sure beat all the odds against them.

How does it work for 1 but not the other???

That chart looked alot like a simple probrability chart from this math class I took last semester, but I could be wrong.

xo_kathy 04-08-2003 04:59 PM

Wrong on me and my brother.

Angels&Arrows 04-08-2003 05:19 PM

Fun!

Correct for my mom's age and the month she conceived me. However, wrong with my daughter. According to the chart, I should have had a male (though we are a little unsure on the conception month... April or May... both months say Elizabeth should have been a boy! Which I thought I was having.. instead I was blessed with a beautiful Pi Phi legacy!

Peaches-n-Cream 04-08-2003 07:10 PM

I guess that I was conceived a month later than I thought. My mom was 26 when she made me in I thought May, but I guess it was June. It was accurate for both of my sisters. :)

AlphaXiGirl 04-16-2003 04:51 PM

It was correct for both of my daughters.

OUlioness01 04-16-2003 06:29 PM

since both of my brothers, my sister, and I were all born anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks early i had to guess at the conception months but it was accurate for all 4 of us!

bethany1982 04-16-2003 06:53 PM

Wrong for me... unless... OMG!
