$20 for spa pedicure (complete w/vibrating chair) and manicure, and I tip $5. I go to an Asian place in San Diego that uses OPI, which makes quality polish. The only thing I'm mildly dissatisfied with is that my 'cure chipped after two days, and I had to redo my nails prior to our chapter's deb ball.

French manicures
I pay $25 for a French Pedicure with vib. chair. I give myself a French Manicure b/c my nails are naturally long and shaped well. In addition, when I get a professional French Manicure-it always chip. So, I use the Sally Hanson French Manicure kit. And my French manicures looks professional!
My grandmother uses the "attached toe nail" during the summer, it looks really nice. She told me that it was the same process as regular nail tips.;) |

I a big toe nail that is split all the way to the cuticle. My dermatologist said that the only solution is to remove the smallest part of the split, but because of the way it is split that part of the nail will probably never grow back, leaving me with half a nail on my toe (if you can imagine such a thing!) Wonder if the acrylic stuff would work for me? I thought about it, but didn't want it to leak under the split and then make my big toe infected so that it falls off! Inquiring minds want to know!! |

2D, where do you go? I know it's somewhere on the wackbank, I mean westbank. :D j/k
Anyway, I stay really close to the village, so I may dip in on one of the nail shops that they have down here. I usually go to The Plaza and it is $26 for the vibe chair and french tips (they charge $3 extra for that  ) I need to find somewhere else because I want the wax. My price doesn't even include that NOR quick dry! I'm just thinking about it! As for the tips, I know of people who have gotten them and thay didn't get them again. They were cool with the tips until they started to get old. I guess if you are the type like me that wears sandals and/or flip flops all summer, then it's cool. However, I wouldn't stick them in shoes. You know how your finger may hurt when your (finger)nails start to come up and your fingers may get tender, think about some tender a** toes stuffed in shoes! I guess different people have different experiences. I probably would do it if I had some chewed up toes, but mine are OK. Trust me, I have seen toes that have so little nails that it just looks like they don't have any. If that's the case, get the tip! |
Im not sure how much a regular pedicure is. I always get the special and they always have it. Its a fill and pedicure in that annoying vibrating chair with quick dry for 30.00. I tip well because Im kinda rude to the Korean lady. I dont like to be massaged or anything. I tell her, I am just here for pretty toes.

RedefinedDiva, I feel you. I normally wear sandals all summer, too. That's why I HAD to get the fake nail, lol. But I don't remember if I wore closed toe shoes or not. It probably would hurt some. |

On Wednesdays you can get a "combo" manicure and pedicure for $25.00. (polish and if desired....airbrush are free) hand painted designs are extra $$$
But the grande pedicure with the reclining/vibrating chair and the so, so delightful parrafin wax, hot rocks and foot massage is $35. The tip varies between $5 and up depending on the technicians time, patience, work and attitude. |
GOOD LAWD THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY!!!
My pedicure cost $13 (includes massage chair)
Of course for elaborate designs they charge extra per toe per design. But I just get 2 designs (one on each big toe which is $2 extra) and the rest are just polished. My fill-in's are $13 also with $3 for nail design on all my nails ( I get hook ups cuz I've been a loyal customer). So on average .. including the tip I am spending about $35 every two weeks. |
