I search for sorority and found greekchat in between all the dirty porno sites. :rolleyes: I checked out this website for about a year before I registered in September 2001.

I found it along about the time that ASLFRose pledged AOII; I was looking for some way I could communicate with other moms whose daughters had pledged GLOs besides the ones they were legacies to.

I *love* Greek Pages.com, so I checked out their links, and found GC!

One of my chapter sisters told me about GC.

my dean told me about it to get a hold of bruhs.

I was doin a search for lyrics to some of the Songs of Sigma Nu. Somehow i happened upon a discussion on the Sigma Nu board of GC. Using the site navigation tools i worked my way out to the main boards and was hooked. :p I tried to register under my normal screenname(which is my IM name, and my screenname on Texags.com), AgSnake361 but for some reason it never worked.

So i had to wait a day and register under this screenname.

Before I was initiated, I was trying to find out as much info as possible about greek life so I found GreekSource through a Yahoo search. I didn't post but read the threads. Then, GreekSource was sold. The company/person who now owns it, I think that would be John Hammel :) , changed it to what it is today, which is now Greek Chat.http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmili...y/luxhello.gif

It all started one sunny San Diego day....
 

I was hanging out in the Price Center with our treasurer. She went to check the chapter mail and came back with some promotional cds for greekcentral.com The cds had lame music and other extras that i did not care about but I checked out the site.

The site seemed to be interested in exposing every negative news article and only perpetrated negative stereotypes. Then I read some posts that weren't lude or crude but actually intelligent and helpful! Who could be so wise in the ways of Rush? Why PenguinTrax of course!

I forget if greekchat was in her profile or if she mentioned it on the boards; but, I followed her here, lurked for several months, and I'm glad I stayed. :D

I saw it mentioned on the discussion boards on alphagam.net so I decided to check it out because I was bored at work (as usual!). It's gotten me through every day at work ever since April 2002. :D

I also remember Greeksource. That's how I found GC. I'm a left over from Greeksource

That's how I found it and it helps me get through work, but just since the beginning of this month! But let me tell you, I'm hooked!
