Houilihans was originally started in Kansas City. It was owned by the Gilbert-Robinson Company! Had a warehouse by the Kansas City Int. Air Port full of antiques from all ove the world that a Buyer was paid to buy! These all went in the Resturants!
They had many other resturants of the boutiqe status: Fred P. Otts---BURGERS WOW! BURGERS! Bristols---Sea Food Sun. .25 cent Clams on Half shell with a great Chard or imported Beir!!!!! OOOOOOOH! A Mexican Named one that I cannot remember! Damn, ate at everyone of alot in the olden days! Well they were sold out and went down hill from there!:( |
Mmmmmmmm! I LOVE Houlihan's! We don't have one here in Maryland (at least not near me) but I eat there when I'm home in Pittsburgh.

I agree with Valkyrie and XOKathy... I don't really care for chain restaurants most of the time -- I mean, when I just want something quick, I'll grab Chipotle or Jason's Deli, but I like to go to independent, local places when I want really good food.
Exceptions: I do like Chilis (queso dip), PF Changs, and Cheesecake Factory (just because the Peanut-Butter Chocolate Cheesecake is SO good)! |
Is there one of those in the DFW area?
