Your best bet is to just throw out some dates and see what people say, and then pick one.
Otherwise this thread will just die. If its possible I will come up. If you are holding out for 10 GC'ers you may be unrealistic in your expectation. Surely some of the others GC'er might be interested? |
Ok - here's the deal. I produce a standup comedy show at a bar in NYC wednesday and thursday nights. I spoke to the managers/owners, and if we want to meet up before a show, for $5 a head we get $2 beers for an hour beforehand and admission to the show (which is normally $10). Are people interested? And if so, how many people can do March 26th or 27th?

why don't we just meet up at a random bar for drinks like early on in the night. then we can decide to stay or go depending on the vibe. i can name some places if we need (no irish stuff though!);)

That sounds good. I think that a Friday or Saturday night would be the best.
I like Irish pubs like Connelly's and PJ Clarke's, but it's not required. :) Steve H. the comedy club sounded fun, but it was on a week night so that was kind of difficult. So where and when to do this gathering? Friday or Saturday night? April 11th or 12? April 18th or 19th? A bar in midtown Manhattan or downtown or uptown? A club? |

Another Cool Idea
Does anyone like BBQ's? We can all meet up there for some food and drinks and bring some lively conversation to the table (pun intended :p ) I think that late June would be a good time, considering it's b4 Independence Day and people would wanna use that time to spend it with their families. Or perhaps sometime in August would be good too. I don't think I'll be home too much during the month of July, so that's why I suggested these dates.....
