We have a pretty decent country station in Chicago - US99. They're a little slow to play the new stuff, but have a great classic country oldies show on Sat. night (I think it's syndicated).

Anyhow, here's my list:

New Stuff:

1) Standing Outside the Fire (Garth Brooks)
2) Travelin' Soldier (Dixie Chicks)
3) Young (Kenny Chesney)
4) Long Time Gone (Dixie Chicks)
5) Little Red Rodeo (Colin Ray)

Older Stuff:

1) It Must Be Love (Don Williams)
2) When You Say Nothing At All (Keith Whitley)
3) Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash)
4) County Boy (Glenn Campbell)
5) Lesson in Leaving (Dottie West)

5. "When You Say Nothing At All" Keith Whitley
4. "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" I can't remember who sings it...Dan somebody and Shelly somebody
3. "I Will Always Love You" Dolly Parton
2. "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" Hank Williams
1. "You Ain't Woman Enough" Loretta Lynn

Man...that was hard! There are so many great songs...if I could list a sixth one, I'd definitely put "Swingin'" by John Anderson! That was my favorite song when I was little. :)

I was brought up on country music, and up until the 4th grade, I thought it was the only music on earth :p so my all-time favs are songs from the '80s when I was growing up...

* "Daddy's Hands" - Holly Dunn; super sweet song & always gets me to tear up :)

* "Angels Among Us" - Alabama; same as above

* "You Look so good in Love" - George Strait

* "Don't it make my brown eyes blue" - Crystal Gayle; my older sister & I would sing this ALL the time when we were lil kids

* "Forever and Ever, Amen" - Randy Travis

Y'all have mentioned some really good ones!

"Always On My Mind" -Willie Nelson
"Crazy" -Patsy Cline
"Ode To Billy Joe" -Bobbi Gentry
"The Dance" -Garth Brooks
"Proud To Be An American" -Lee Greenwood

I love almost anything by Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, & Patsy Cline. I have a bootleg that has Willie & Family singing a tribute to Waylon Jennings "Will the Circle Be Unbroken"/"I'll Fly Away" that we played at my daddy's funeral and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

My fiance proposed to me with a Willie song! :)
