Andre Lopes in trouble
This is the cat whose house was torched by Lisa Left Eye Lopes (RIP) in 1994.
January 3, 2003 Arrest Warrant Is Issued for Andre Rison By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Filed at 1:15 p.m. ET FLINT, Mich. (AP) -- An arrest warrant has been issued for former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Andre Rison for failing to pay child support. Court records indicate the 35-year-old Rison owes his ex-wife, Tonya, about $68,500 in support for their teenage son. "We've tried a civil bench warrant. We've tried a receiver. We've tried liens against real estate,'' said Jennie E. Barkey, head of the Genesee County Friend of the Court office. "Every tool we've had available to us hasn't resulted in any child support.'' The Genesee County prosecutor's office authorized the felony warrant Rison. District Judge Herman Marable Jr. signed it Dec. 20. Felony non-support is punishable by up to four years in prison. The charge usually is dropped if arrangements to pay the debt are made. A message seeking comment from Rison's attorney, David Kallman, was not immediately returned. In 2001, Fulton County, Ga., authorities issued a felony warrant against Rison, alleging he owed $52,000 in support for another child. He paid $40,000 to settle that case, officials said. |

For Everyone Who Doesn't Like Murder Inc.
From mtv.com
Federal investigators searched the New York offices of Murder Inc., the record label home of Ja Rule and Ashanti, on Friday as part of an ongoing investigation into label head Irv Gotti, according to The Los Angeles Times. On Saturday, the newspaper reported that a yearlong investigation into an alleged financial link between Gotti and a New York drug gang called the "Supreme Team" led to the raid. Authorities are reportedly investigating whether or not money from drug tafficking helped Gotti, real name Irving Lorenzo, break into the music business. Specifically, authorities are reportedly investigating an alleged link between Gotti and Kenneth McGriff, the convicted head of the Supreme Team. The Times also reported that authorities are looking into allegations of money laundering and a number of attacks as part of their investigation. Agents from the FBI and the New York Police Department reportedly seized computers and documents during the raid, according to the Times. McGriff — who co-produced and co-wrote the Murder Inc. film "Crime Partners 2000" — was reportedly arrested in 1988 and eventually convicted on federal narcotics conspiracy charges. Part Two Officials raided Murder Inc.'s recording studio, nicknamed "The Crackhouse," on Friday in addition to searching the label's midtown Manhattan offices, music industry sources said Monday. A joint task force of federal investigators and NYPD officers searched the locations as part of a probe looking into alleged ties between Murder Inc. and convicted drug lord Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff (see "Murder Inc. Offices Raided By Feds"). According to the FBI, no one was arrested during the raids, but two men have been arrested elsewhere in connection with the larger investigation. The two are suspected to be associates of McGriff, but it is not known whether they are also involved with Murder Inc., the hip-hop/R&B label home to artists such as Ja Rule and Ashanti. While fans of Murder Inc.'s music may be unfamiliar with McGriff, the Queens native co-wrote and executive produced the 2001 straight-to-video street drama "Crime Partners 2000," which starred a number of hip-hop artists, including Murder Inc.'s own Ja Rule and Charli Baltimore. The movie is an adaptation of the Donald Goines novel "Crime Partners," which McGriff read while in jail on drug charges. According to documents from the United States District Court, McGriff was the leader of Jamaica, Queens, street gang the Supreme Team and oversaw a crack cocaine distribution ring that earned $200,000 a day. He was convicted of narcotics conspiracy in 1987 and spent 10 years in federal prison before being released on a technicality. McGriff is reportedly awaiting sentencing on a 2001 gun possession charge that may send him to jail for another five years. Ja Rule refused to comment on the matter Monday while visiting MTV to appear on "TRL." Murder Inc. and its parent companies Def Jam Records and the Universal Music Group also declined to comment. |
I was spying the suspect dudes in Ashanti's "Baby (remix)" video. Mind you, the Murder Inc. sign is made by touching ring finger to thumb (like the Sigma Gamma Rho sign). While watching something that featured the lives of Bloods, they make a sign similar to that by touching middle finger to thumb. In the video, I believe that several dudes are throwing up this sign. This had me very  .... Although the human eye can be very deceptive and I am not claiming that it is factual, but I could have put money on it. Could Irv be promoting what he is being investigated for.....? Things that make you go hmmmmmm......
Someone try to catch the video to back-up my theory. |

Janet Jackson has "Someone to Call My Lover" - and rap impresario Jermaine Dupri says it was never Justin Timberlake.
Breaking 18 months of silence, Dupri says he and Jackson have been a couple since he remixed her 2001 hit "Someone." "We were really just friends," Dupri tells the February issue of Honey magazine. "Then it just happened - we started kicking it." Dupri says he's coming clean because "A lot of people come up with b-- that Janet has been with this one and that one when we were together. "One time, someone said something about me getting mad at Janet for being in a club with Justin, and that didn't really happen." Dupri, who is looking at a $2.5 million back-tax bill from the IRS, recently signed on as Antonio (L.A.) Reid's right-hand man at Arista records. http://www.mccphoto.com/art/ra05lg.jpg ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ More Shaq Pics http://www.clublakers.com/shaqwedding1.jpg http://www.clublakers.com/shaqwedding4.jpg http://www.clublakers.com/shaqwedding5.jpg **Flowers are too dayum busy** http://www.clublakers.com/shaqwedding3.jpg http://www.clublakers.com/shaqwedding2.jpg |
Grammy noms
I HOPE THEY WIN!!!!!
Norah Jones- I'm glad Norah Jones was selected. I love her CD. It's ultra relaxing, but it's quality. She reminds me of Carole King (I love her!) Happy about the Nivea and JE song I WANT BIG TYMERS TO WIN! I love STILL FLY!!! BUT............. Remy Shand- OOOOOOOOkay. I thought "Take a Message" was alright, but dang. He's in every R&B category (even the trad. category reserved for Luther and 'nem). If they wanted to put a white guy in the R&B category, why not Jon B. (I'm sorry, JTimb and Jon B are my WHITE chocolate brothas). Rap Female- Foxy and Charlie ???????? Rap Album- Petey???? Is it just me, or are they just pulling names from the sky? |
