I personally think brands are unappealing. I do, however, like tattoos, but to me there's just nothing attractive about a big old burn scar on someone's body. The article was pretty interesting, though.

I wouldn't say it's hazing in these cases because the people (at least in the article) decided on their own to do it. I wonder, though, how often it happens that people are pressured into it. That would be awful.

I too thought this might be about branding cattle. I can say that I have branded a few ;) in my day and they sure don't like it.

On a side note this is the first I have heard of branding on people. Now I'm very interested in seeing someones brand, how it ages, etc. I'll admit it, I'm facinated with body art, not that I have any LOL I just like learning about it.

Like many other people I have no real compelling force to have my letters branded on me at all. Sorry but it just doesn't seem fitting to know that your letters are permently attached to my body.
